This Saturday, the new Hwang's Martial Arts II will have its Grand Opening. There are going to be many events, classes, and seminars taking place all day long. I haven't even seen inside the new dojang but from what I've heard, it is incredible! In typical Grandmaster Hwang style no less!
If you actually read this blog (hmmm...aren't you right now?) and live in the Greater Louisville Metro area, you need to stop by and check it out. There will be free beginner classes, including free unforms for the 1st 100 to sign up, free food, games and more.
Come see us!
With work, travel, and World of Warcraft, I have been negligent in keeping up to date with the new chips coming out...so...here are a few.

I have a couple of new Centennial chips to list, I was wondering when the HR would fire one off...well the wait is over. Nice looking chip leaving no doubt what the subject is. Another "must have" for the HR collector or anyone trying to put together a set of Centennial chips.
Las Vegas Hilton $5 Las Vegas Centennial 2005

I really like this one! It captures the essence of Vegas in the "naughty" days with the allure of showgirls and the "over the top" feel that could only be experienced by visiting the place. The line art does a very nice job of illustrating that you don't have to fashion a colorful, computer generated piece to get the message across.
You may ask "But Jeff...all of those things are in Vegas now, what's so special about "then"?"
The answer is that back then, we didn't have the satellite TV, cable, the internet..etc. If you wanted that kind of entertainment, to see the stars of the day, or simply go and gamble, the place to be was Las Vegas (or at least Nevada!). It was mysterious, exciting, a little seedy. Now, you have casinos everywhere to get your "fix", but Vegas has endured to still be "The Place".
