I'm not dead yet!

Wow....has it been that long??? Since November? What a slacker I am! Ah well, no matter as here I am as proof that indeed I still exist, on this and other realms. Let's see...where to begin?

Work is...great! Yup, it certainly is. We had a new manager come in at the beginning of October and she is awesome. Granted, I've been a retail manager for close to 20 years and yet, she has taught me many things. Running a grocery is quite a bit different than a little 2000 sq ft electronics store. I have to depend on several other folks to make things work...there is no way I can do it all by myself. Mrs "B", as we call her, has shown me the light to true retail management. Had I known then what I know now...perhaps I would still be at the Pit of Hel...err...the other place I worked for so long. Doesn't matter really as I was so unhappy there anyway. Only my fine employees kept me going. I still talk to them often, they are happy not to be employed there anymore as well.

The family is doing well, and they have a new hobby...shooting! Don't even try to burgle our place, everyone here is a very accurate shot and there are plenty of weapons at hand. We really enjoy things that go BANG! Safety first though. The kids have been taught to respect the weapons and only at the local gun range are they brought out.

World of Warcrac...errr...Warcraft. Ahh yes, my main time-sink. Still playing and now the boys each have their own accounts so we can all play at the same time...WOOT! Now, all we have to do is get them to Jitters and use the LAN so we can beat up the (silly) Alliance. My mage has grown extensively and is quite powerful though I still don't go on large raids. I still love to get into fights and now have over 68,000 kills to my credit.

Casino Chips...heck yeah I still do them...that's my first love. In fact, I can proudly say that I now have a complete collection of all Kentucky Derby chips. This year kinda stank as only one Las Vegas casino released a chip, Arizona Charlie's. I did manage to obtain the Holy Grail...the Hard Rock 2005 Derby Day No Cash Value chip. This is the one that required $1000 worth of Derby Day bets at the HR. Only 200 were made of the Derby chip while 500 of the Preakness and 1000 of the Belmont were made. This means that only 200 complete sets were ever available. The total amount of bets needed to get them was $1750. Any that were left over after Derby Day were destroyed, so I don't really know how many of the Derby chips actually exist. No matter...I have one.

That's it in a nutshell...I really hope to be more diligent about entries...but no promises.
