Well...my feet have recovered to the point that I do not require surgery...whew! I still need to wear the splint for awhile...no biggie, and I'll keep on doing my other therapy.
Oh....and...
I am going to Vegas in June!! I know what my Christmas present is!
The Park Place chip arrived today...OoooooOooooOOooo.
Much nicer than the picture I posted the other day.
Mucous Alchemy?
Could be...I'm turning something into gallons of crud...ewwwww.
How can the human nasal passages produce so much snot?
SOMEBODY ANSWER ME!!!
Here's a neat little chip...a cool inlay, horsehead right mold, $100, and black...Hell...what more could one ask for? Free would be good but that hardly happens.
This place never opened. I have no idea why. Sometimes the licensing doesn't come through, owners back out. It was supposed to open in 1965, since it didn't, I would hope this chip will be in awesome condition when I get it. Not sure of the true value...kinda tough with chips like these. You would figure full racks were available at the time when it was suppose to open, but that was 40 years ago...who knows what has happened to the chips since then? This is the only one I have seen...well...the $100 anyway.
Mine, mine, mine.
Greed is not always a bad thing.
One not bad thing about having a cold, is that I can't smell some of the more "pungent" customers that shop at my store.
I hope you have a pain free, quiet day. That seems to be most wanted theme around here. Both of us are dealing with various ailments though hers are much more serious.
Leaving Las Vegas

What happens in Vegas ... doesn't have to stay in Vegas anymore.
I am most excited by the prospect of land based casino gambling in Kentucky. The newly elected Governor used that as a base in his election platform...now we'll see. However, I have had a casino within 30 minutes of me for close to 10 years now and I've visited it...2...3 times? And yes, I like to gamble.
It's not the gambing...it's the atmosphere of Vegas. The sounds, the lights, the motion. It's always open for business to do what you want, whenever you want. It's the feeling of reckless abandon that you can do just about anything and not get into trouble...unless you're O.J. (whatta noob!!)
It's just cool.
That being said...I will eagerly wait for the local establishments to develope. I look forward to adding some new chips to the collection.
But when the call comes...to Vegas I will go!
Since I don't have the income that I used to, when I worked for that evil, soul sucking mini empire, I have to be more selective when it comes to chip acquisition. While I have placed many bids for chips, too often the price would exceed my price range. The kicker is when the same chip keeps coming up for sale, and I keep getting beat...you would figure I would catch a break eventually.
And then...something sweet happens.
Lately, there have been several nice $100 chips up for bid, many that I would love to add to my collection. The values have ranged from low to medium, and the winning bids have been consistently more than mine except for one chip... a 1st issue Freemont!
Ok...so what? Well...rare, older downtown chips are tough to come by. There are tons of Binions but not much more than that. This chip has a lot of history behind it as does the hotel/casino. This is a significant chip to have in my collection. I decided to stick with the bidding a little longer on this one and it paid off. I'm not disclosing the winning bid but I got a nice deal on this chip that is valued at about $700.
